All I took away from it is women and girls cannot control their emotions, and are literally controlled by them. Of course the negative emotions are gonna fuck shit up because they (females) are incapable of rational thoughts and impulse control.
The way you explain it would make the character rational, and therefore not female, creating a glaring plothole
