most children picturebooks have this kind of "naïve art" artstyle, usually to reflect how kids themselves draw
i think it's cute
better than the generic furry artstyle they did for the films, although it guess it would be hard to adapt this kind of artstyle into 3D (The Peanuts Movie managed to do it tho)
