Why was it so much worse than the other two?

It wasn't. It was much better than NOTLD and arguably better than Dawn

Night had tension and reasonable conflict
Dawn had the the mall setting and it's fortification
Day is easily identified good guys and bad guys where the good guys live and the bad guys die. It's not horror. Almost nothing happens

Am I rhe only one who doesn't like the ending of Dawn? The bikers seem to show up out of nowhere. There was zero foreshadowing they were around and they don't seem to have a plan other than break stuff.

Night of the Living Dead is extremely competent, to say nothing of how fresh it was on release. Dawn of the Dead had a great score, was just as creative and influential as Night, and the commentary was on the nose without being overbearing. Day of the Dead is just a movie about how much Romero hates the military, taking place entirely in a hole, with nothing special beyond the idea of training a zombie and the gore effects.

You're just a very stupid person. The bikers show up out of nowhere because they're a roaming band.
