Because it was a pretty good movie for what it is, and Jackman alone makes it worthwhile. I'm not a fan of comedy in my capeshit, but the Deadpool approach isn't bad because they're allowed to get away with more thanks to the R-rating.

They made a movie that didn't hate or shit on its audience, like Joker getting raped or Captain America getting diversified, and so on. They gave the fans what they wanted, showed some love to the characters, and the ending scene where Deadpool and Wolverine each try to sacrifice themselves and then end up tackling the job together was genuinely quite satisfying to watch. It's not the best movie ever made, but compared to the slop that is force-fed to people nowadays, just doing the above was enough to make people buy in.
