MoS made almost 1b adjusted for inflation, and it sold more DVD and popcorn

Superman is struggling to hit $600 million worldwide (something 28 movies have done since 2020). They are both dissapointments lol.

Snyderfans are going to keep crowing about the box office, as though MoS being more popular with brown people and chinacucks makes it a success

Popcorn sales are literally what keeps the theatre business going. Everyone I know who wen to see Superman 2025 sneaked in their own snacks. Half the people that went to MoS got the bucket and cup

Why do you lie? Superman is bombing hard in white countries and is hugely successful in India. Even in America the majority of the audience are browns.

I highly doubt those anecdotes are meaningful. Back in 2013 it was just as widely understood and expressed that theater snacks and drinks are overpriced and a way of basically lighting your money on fire

I've got nothing against the new supes film, but gotta love that spinning in the headline. Now it's suddenly domestic that counts, because its worldwide revenue is still a good way off from reaching Man of Steel (~670m).

Domestic does count somewhat more than international, the studio gets a larger % cut from domestic ticket sales.
It's better for a Hollywood flim to be performing well at home and poorly in China, than the other way around

Studios get more money in the domestic market.
This is a very average year for america movies. Film barely hit 1b nowadays

That would be great if it overperformed to the tune of Avengers or Avatar. It's performing as expected domestically and fucking bombed overseas, that's a failure

That's true, but I don't think that the current 1 million lead is going to make up for whatever percentage WB would have gotten of the missing 160m international. Then again, the new movie is still in theaters, so who knows, maybe it has amazing legs.

Man of Steel was the last movie I saw in theaters. Haven't been to a movie theater since.
