Comics reboot all the time. Christopher Reeve wasn’t the first Superman nor was Keaton or even Adam West the first Batman. The characters are almost always bigger than the actors who play them. Tom Holland was a nobody before Spider Man. RDJ is the rare exception of an actor elevating a capeshit character they played. Reeves didn’t even do that. Superman was already a big character when he played him. Iron Man was at best a B character that got elevated to a A character because of the movies and RDJ playing him. Why Disney paid him a fortune
