So there will be comparisons whether you like it or not. Especially since MOS was also considered unsatisfying, and this new Superman movie is doing worse.
The difference may be that current producers had lower expectations for Superman than for Mos. They'll be happy with less, as long as it's not a failure and loses money. It doesn't have to be a success.
But they must have very low expectations if a 630-m Superman movie is enough for them. I don't know what happened to them to make them so demoralized by DC.
