I watched that film again not long ago. It's kino. That character is a detestable piece of shit. A good example of a piece of shit who even without the drinking is a piece of shit, but that makes it worse. Seen people like that in real life.

Its alright outside the memes. Tugs on some strings if you or someone you know has ever struggled with the drink, the ending is extremely ...nothing, though. I wouldn't even say its anti-climactic. Something DOES happen that matters but the entirely of the last 20 minutes really feels empty or like nothing was truly learned. I suspect that was intentional though.
