>>213367525 (OP)30 years ago he was right. Now he's a confused old man who probably never found Jesus.
>>213367525 (OP)grandpa needs an advice on changing his depends
Why were all your best films at the start of your career when you had the least amount of say?
The wrong Scott brother died
Advice is for humble people capable of learning. The man who made robin hood does not need advice he just needs to stop making films.
Ridley Scott never made a good film
Alien - starts off as a promising scifi thriller but halfway through turns into generic monster movie
Blade Runner - completely butchery of the source material
Gladiator - Snyder's 300 is a documentary compared to this garbage
Black Hawk Down - 2 hours of confused action scenes
The Martian - Oh my science
His later projects are hilariously bad
>>213367670Bad example that was his last sort of watchable film (BR2049 I'm still unsure on) Everything else since has been slop tier slop.
He needs some notes from his younger self. Maybe there are some old director commentaries he could listen to for ideas.
>>213367709The Duelists is genuinely great. I thought Body of Lies was okay for one of his later projects.
>>213367560If you dig into his best movies its clear that theyโre being propped up by the talented people that surrounded him.
So actually his movies have only been good when he takes input from others.
"Gladiator II" was the first time in a while I left the theater pissed off. There's a scene where Lucious is speaking to his mother and one of the two of them is entirely out of focus; him, I believe. The mother is poorly lit, like they used footage from a take where he was primarily lit instead, but according to the DP they weren't meticulous about lighting this time around (as they were for the first movie), so that's giving this film too much credit.
Fuck you Ridley Scott, you won't get anymore money out of me while either of us lives and you DO need advice you dumb dipshit.
>>213367525 (OP)He's right, but he sure as shit needs good writers, and preferably someone he doesn't pick, his cinematography kino, bit his stories are weak.
>>213367525 (OP)Watching pic related in the cinemas is when I knew he was a hack.
Whether you're interested in hearing criticism has no bearing on whether it is valid.
>>213367709>Oh my scienceIronic faggotry is just faggotry. Stop it.
"So, I love Beavis and Butthead, so what should follow that is โDuh.โ So now it will be revealed [in the sequel], one way or the other." - Ridlington "Ridders" Scott on BR 2049
>>213367525 (OP)Did you watch your Napelon film, Scott?
>>213367560Boomer types never do, both him and James Cameron continue to make nihilist slop that parrots their 1960s liberal values ad-nauseum. Cameron still thinks the Vietnam war is still happening, and still depicts the U.S Military/White men as racist aggressors in his Avatar films. Boomers never change, never learn, and they hate you for existing.
>>213367525 (OP)Scott is a studio director. He establish it so many times now.
please finish raised by wolves
>>213367525 (OP)If he was producing anything good, he wouldn't hear those words.
>>213367525 (OP)You need a nurse, grandpa
>>213367755His 2000s run was pretty good.
>>213368128More like Cuckpoleon, like Scott
>>213367525 (OP)no, you need a good writer
Insider here, Ridley Scott has begun filming Gladiator 3 and has requested Tariq Nasheed for historical counciling. Now all the gladiators are black and there will be rape in the ring. The sharks have also been replaced by rape dolphins and gladiators now have to fight rape war machines.
The man made Alien and Blade Runner, what did you do?
>>213369256He's lost it.
https://youtu.be/Zv6hLkZWvzY
>>213369256i didnt make napoleon and the last like 8 aliens movies
>>213367846this was so disappointing
>>213368470Do you genuinely not think the US military are aggressors? top fucking kek
>>213367796Scott shoots with 3 million cameras now so he can clock off at 4pm
>>213367846Don't read about the original script he got rewritten to slop.
>>213367729BR2049 was Denis Villeneuve.
>>213367525 (OP)>response?Stfu you dotard.
You need every help you can get.
>>213367525 (OP)Ridley Scott hate unironically feels forced as fuck, what e-celeb told NPCs to hate him?
>>213370143He directed back to back master class films at 40.. alien and blade runner.. he's literally 80 now and has made alot of great films since ... people just want to tear others down to feel better about thier own situation
>>213367525 (OP)You don't need to make movies either
>>213367560Does Jesus know how to make films?
>>213368470Ridley Scott is not a boomer
>>213367525 (OP)Ridley has earned the right to do whatever the fuck he wants desu
But you need meds for the dementia you get when you choose scripts and casting.
>>213367525 (OP)Well Ridley, you clearly do take "advice" to burden your latest movies with woke nonsense, so get rid of it while you can
He is legitimately still better than anyone else his age.
>>213367525 (OP)True but he could use some advice on how to make a good one because he seems to have forgotten a few of the key steps.
>>213371230There's not many 87 year old filmmakers out there working. Scorsese is pretty close at 82 and making far, far better movies than Scott.
>>213367525 (OP)I wouldn't say anything to him, I would just not watch his movies, and that's what no one did.
>>213370143I've been calling him a hack since Prometheus, apply yourself faggot
>>213367525 (OP)Stop making flicks and start making films, then.
>>213372778Prometheus was a well-directed movie with well executed special effects.
It's the writing by the Lost guy that sucked.
That's right for sure
No one is gonna argue he gets his way on a the set
He used not only film movies tho, he could make kino again if he listened sometime
>>213367525 (OP)Ridley has made legitimately great films in his prime, he's just old and doesn't give a shit anymore. The joke is not on him, it's on the people still funding his end of career disasters
>>213367709Alien and Black Rain are awesome
>>213367525 (OP)Schlockmeister got lucky with a couple of movies
>>213367646That's a mean thing to say but yeah Tony's batting average was way higher
In fact there isn't a single Tony Scott movie I don't like now that I think about it
>>213372778>a hack since Prometheusmore like since Hannibal/Black Hawk Down.
>>213373833In retrospect, yes. But I was too young when Hannibal came out to have any opinion beyond "lol guts and brain eating dude".
But you're right, Hannibal is horrible and frankly, it ruined Hopkins Lecter for me.
>>213367752Is there seriously a CGI giant zombie baboon in Gladiator 2?
>>213367646This should've been the first post.

>>213373752Black Rain was his ONLY good movie.
>>213367525 (OP)> shut up + consoom it's not advice, we're saying how it tastes to the line cook
