My wife just bought me a 20TB External HDD for a little under $270. She is obsessed with making me download a bunch of movies and shows for her. Plex just feels like you can download and create your own version of Netflix, easily playable on every smart tv in the house and your phone. She is now disappointed when Netflix removes things and thinks the best solution is to just download everything and keep it forever on Plex. I explained that hard drive space was becoming a real constraint and she volunteered to buy one for me in exchange for me downloading shows and movies we want to watch.

I think I am permanently done with streaming services. Being a Plexchad has made me too powerful. With the amount of money saved on streaming service slop this thing will pay itself off in a year or two. I will wake up in the morning and my wife is just streaming Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead from Plex. I love her so much bros. We have become a Plex power couple.

I prefer Jellyfin. It doesn't datamine you. Also I don't pretend I'm married. And that my wife controls my money like I'm a child.

The thing is she keeps asking me to download all this shit and I kept telling her the drive was running out of space. She loves Plex, uses it even more than I do, I'm just the one who knows how to download things and set it up.
