What I don't get about Endgmae is why everyone was always dumping on Ant Man throughout the film. None of what happened would've occurred without Ant Man independently coming up with a viable idea. Yeah, Stark perfected it and solved it, but everyone ... everyone had already given up. Only Ant Man took his experience and brought it to Natasha and Rogers and got the ball rolling. Even then, Stark didn't want anything to do with it at first.

Those theaters were empty. Everyone you ever talk to about the movie says it sucks. Pictures came out in the hundreds of fully booked, vacant showtimes. I'd imagine about 400m was the correct box office for this movie. Buying the theaters out was the correct move by Marvel; a bomb right before Endgame would hurt the brand, and Endgame made the money back.

Should have done the Black Widow movie between those two instead. Audiences were bamboozled into thinking the Captain Marvel movie was going to be important to the plot leading into Endgame.
