It feels like this Rey movie has been in development hell for years.

People continuously associate her with the demise of the biggest IP in the world. Daisy is literally built for theater at this point. Her name doesn't put butts in seats. Like, she isn't a "name". She's just that one Star Wars girl. Like, "Oh, the Star Wars girl is in something else." And then that's it. That's the extent of the revelation.

Even if by some miracle they make a good star wars movie it doesn't matter anymore since the entire IP/universe is ruined by their existing stuff. Just make a clean slate and start over from just the OT and PT.
