there's also many examples in the tv series where mr bean cuts in line or acts like a sociopath, he is most definitely breaking social taboos left and right and the humor is in the ways he tries to avoid responsibility
the show dances around the idea that mr bean is a childlike man who is clueless to social standards or just doesn't follow them out of pettiness, he does have a good heart but in general his actions tend to break taboos or societal expectations which create the tension in the series
