Men aren't intimidated by fictional depictions of men or attractive men in general, which is why men laugh instead of seethe when actors are given oversized prosthetic dicks, or when a cut guy is depicted as being attractive, but women absolutely are, and are flooded with insecurity when they see even a cartoon woman who triggers her gut "oh no this woman is more attractive than myself" instinct. So acceptable depictions of women are fat, homely, unkempt, flat, colored, or some mix of all of the above.
