I saw The Thing and Alien back to back, I like The Thing more. The idea that any of the crew could be the monster is much or interesting and suspenseful.

The social deduction aspect is very underdeveloped though, and it doesn't work like a mystery thriller where the secret bad guy has his own motives that haven't been revealed yet. The infected crew just turn evil because the monster said so. There is no motive on a human level. Alien has a very logical reason for why the traitor is the traitor, and why he is on the crew and on that expedition in the first place.

All three of these have something in common, an entire cast of unlikable characters. There isn't one enjoyable character between all three movies. And it takes away from the overall entertainment of the movie, these three could've been better.

Act I of Lawrence is slow on multiple places. I'll give you the second act though, unironically one of the greatest things I've ever seen.

I'd ALMOST agree with Fantasia but Rite of Spring is mega-boring. Everything else had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
