Why isn't Harry doing live reaction streams?
He would be the king of that shit and the format is built for him, but instead it's boring no charisma nerds.

What's better? Harry Hill's TV burp or You've Been Framed?

There's only one way to find out!

Genuinely razor-sharp comedian who played up the inherently ludicrous and badly-made aspects of late 2000s telly. Plus no pretentiousness or attempts to be smarmy or edgy.

Probably wouldn't be as funny since Harry used to write and practise all his bits well in advance. Being funny on livestream is very difficult and basically no one can do it consistently. Plus he's rich, retired and married. I respect Harry for knowing when to bow out and not oversaturate. Makes his occasional random appearances all the better.

That's what is still amazing about the show, he made smart comedy, that was broad enough for everyone without being dumb or lowbrow. No one can do that anymore

This sounds wanky, but I get the impression that Harry probably read a lot about media decline and postmodernism. His entire shtick is, at heart, pretty savage satire against how fucking stupid reality TV and sitcoms are. Plus he mercilessly attacked the egos of celebrities in a medium that only ever jerks them off. He DID do lowbrow stuff and outright surreal jokes, but directly in response to the sheer slop that was being put out. It's amazing to think he was doing this on a prime Saturday night spot for over a decade.

There's no derision or hatred towards the audience for the slop he makes fun of, and he's able to revel in it while making fun of it. And the humour is in a kind of anrachic tradition of punch and judy showes. I always compare it to Charlie Brooker or Stewert Lee, who are the exact opposite and could never be funny or subversive like Hill because they wouldn't go on ITV.

Me and my mum used to shout "bushpush!" and push eachother into bushes in public because of this, fun times.

I have a lot of respect for Stewart Lee, but both he and Brooker are basically the same type. Weird, repressed turbo-liberals who are there mainly for their own egos. Harry Hill is very clever and a very good technical comedian, but you can just tell that at a base level he fucking loves the anarchy and fun.

Brooker and Lee are way too up their own "subversive" arses to randomly appear in front of the Queen and sing George Formby songs.
