Uh oh, Alien: Earth just got a 9/10 by IGN
>Much like Andorโ€™s second season from earlier in the year, Alien: Earth matches an apex of late โ€™70s cinema in look and feel, while blowing out the world to create a new context with which to view the franchise โ€“ even if one of the central story points might take a step too close to the absurd. Simultaneously providing fans with the eggs (Easter and Xenomorph) they expect, and shedding concerns of fitting into continuity, Noah Hawley has made an amazing piece of science fiction on the strength of solid production and creature design, an incredible cast, and needle drops that make me want a cigarette.

Only alien thing i saw was the first movie and like avp when i was a kid i thought the first movie really slow and kind of boring outside of character moments just hanging out. Do i bother watching anything else

I'm just excited they're adding more companies. They finally understand the concept that there's more than just weyland-yutani.

>shedding concerns of fitting into continuity
Alien doesn't have a continuity anymore. There's the first two movies, then like a dozen alternate storyline attempts and reboots.

I'll watch it. They better get off Earth and explore some kino space colonies though. Earth was the very least interesting thing about the movies

I hear they couldn't actually decide when it's supposed to be set. Before Alien, between Alien/Aliens, after Aliens

Critics rating anything above 85% means it's shit.

only for the avp franchise.
low iq disney haters say "don't thank the mouse, these projects were in production long before the merge with fox!"
while ignoring other projects post-merge (like isolation 2).
end of the day, this is mickey's money being gambled, and mickey should also get credit for giving creative freedom.

The "independent" chuds are just as phony and paid for. Engagement is engagement, get them to remember the name, all press is good press. "It schlocky, but I still kinda liked it, 7/10"
