>>213468878 (OP) he's right. failed experiment. look how many Americans are drifting from wanting a republic to a pseudo-monarchy. everyone knows it has failed
>>213468977 yeah, lemme just move to bongland so i can get jailed for not following sharia, or maybe russia so i can get drafted and die on the front lines of a war, or perhaps south africa where the ruling party actively sings songs about how they want to kill people who look like me

>>213468878 (OP) Yeah, it's a top tier country, but stop being a patriotic faggot. We spend so much goddamn money on taxes and don't even have adequate safety nets and public education
>>213468878 (OP) He never said it sucks. Just that it isn't leading in anything in the world like Americans like to believe. It's still better than Brazil, Mongolia, Russia, Somalia, Kyrgyzstan and other third world countries.

>>213468977 >America has failed >>213469023 >no, Britain and Russia and South Africa are way worse Maybe they're all terrible and the modernist paradigm of the last two hundred years is the problem, not just any particular nation.

>>213469456 >if you're calling someone "reddit" instead of "newfaggot" you are reddit. That's pretty weak sauce, bro. Anyway, go back to where you now admitted you came from.
It's disheartening to watch America become what it once stood against. A state drifting toward authoritarianism, censorship (muh israel), and the erosion of meritocracy. The Constitution feels increasingly irrelevant (the erosion of the legislative and judicial branches of government). Maybe this was inevitable. Athenian democracy only lasted about 50 years. Sooner or later the restraints fall away and the darker sides of human nature begin to take control.
I remember talking to an American friend about my concerns and he assured me that America "wasn't done with being a republic yet". I'm not so sure. There's a momentum to all this.
