This is something I don't get - as in why it's not more copied. Anime both often has more radical attention grabbing fun story elements involving stuff like magic or superpowers, which is natch for animation, but also it's open to indulgent power fantasies and human optimism. That latter is exampled in the overwhelming popularity of the isekai genre. People are actual friends in anime. Being beautiful or powerful is a good thing.
Unlike (Jewish influenced) western media where man is always the real monster. Almost all story conflict is both more mundane, but more importantly powered by people being unnecessarily dicks to each other or not talking things out, and it's usually the ones closest to you. Wednesday, probably the most anime western show right now, classically has the friends being very hostile and cruel to each other from what I've seen - in contrast with anime where that would probably be toned way down.
Also nigger fatigue.
