Superman returns was an incredibly genius movie... sorry, I didn't want to make a new thread.
I can only add on my take that superman's biggest challenge should always be architecture and civil engineering, with the human conflict being him doing anything to save lois. Fleisher did this the best, and I think any comic book where superman is edgy or bald or so unbelievably powerful that he gets into phonk edits shouldn't be touched for future movies
