who gives a fuck

also they made action movies incredibly boring by making seem like it was some sort of surgical operation instead of cool explosions and people hip firing

They can't make good "hero saves the day by shooting everyone" movies anymore. It's simply not possible in this day and age.
It worked in the 80s and 90s because people weren't as serious back then.

wonder how of those dudes actually went in there because of all the blablabla about democracy and protecting the homeland etc. seems like most of them just want bragging rights or jsut kill a dude.

there was this one former seal whistler blower guy who argued chris kyle for instance just wanted to beat that marine sniper's record and did whatever it took including bait weapons. meanwhile that jocko dude was his team leader I think and condoned that shit where as the actual professionals who had been there complained about that psycho posse actually destabilizing the whole area which ultimately led to american soldiers getting killed.

Absolutely. There is a reason army will sometimes refuse to enlist people who are too gungho ultranationalists, because they are usually more trouble than worth.
They have this fantasy in their head and when it collides with reality of military life, they start causing troubles.

GI retirement is okay, but all these dudes realized that the mysticism and reverence for “special ops” could easily be exploited for way, way, way more money.
The only guys that get a what could be called a good retirement get out with 100% disability (which can just be having a bad back now if it was well documented) and then pick up some easy side jobs. I know a guy like this who does stateside military contractor security work, works part time in a gun store as a hobby, and collects 2,500 a month plus more prescription painkillers he can even use.

The army doesn’t want ultranationalist because the OSS set the regulations for US psychological evaluation. If you show anything “too patriotic” they roll you out.
They did this because FDR thought a Coupe would occur if enough America First guys got into the officer corps.
The army literally selects for spiritual boomers and weaklings who want to feel strong, spiteful mutants. It’s why veterans never have good lives outside of service.
It’s not “readjustment” no these guys were dregs before they enlisted. Jocko was a pothead loser, the guy who shot bin Laden was a pizza delivery cuck, SOME are good men who come from military families, but most are losers who literally prostituted themselves to the State.

>omits that his command faked the results and sent them to afghanistan without the advanced mountain training due to personell shortage
>omits that the operation was taken over by the navy seals from the marines and that originally they were supposed to go there on foot
>lies about a local warlord being bin laden's right hand man

>lies about the herders alerting the taliban (in reality they attacked the moment the herders left because they were already alerted by the helicopter long ago)
