A "cup" of coffee is technically 4 ounces, or roughly 120 ml. Those type of styrofoam or paper cups are usually 8 ounces cups, so filled to the brim would a "double size" standard coffee.
Might be why Starbucks started using their gay terminology for drink sizes because they were selling much larger drinks and especially mixed ones for the modern HFCS addicted fat asses of American suburbia.
