To this day, the most ambitious comic book film ever made. Still ahead of its time. Also, I never understood the argument that this version has bad CGI. It still looks great.

>What do we think of it?

Good:
>Faithful adaptation to the Hulk mythos. (If you consider "Incredible Hulk" Flashback event issue -1 as canon).
>Good actors

Bad:
>Uncanny Valley CGI
>Comic-book editing
>Too "Chinese Cinema"... trying to push this 'we're all connected living beings" buddist angle...
>David Banner becoming an Absorbing Man hybrid character was too ham-fisted.

Subjective opinion... .both Hulk movie have their strength and weaknesses, desu...

Ang Lee brought "the heart" of the story to light, but the actions was 'meh',.... while the MCU's (Norton) Hulk brought better action, but less 'heart'

one of the few capeshit movies where the actors are actually good, it's unreasonably good in this movie. Just the comic book transistions ruin it.

Not only that, but its presentation is bold and honest, these days you need layer over layer of post processing and blur to hide what's on screen. Look at the clarity of that screenshot.

It's good to see more and more people appreciate this movie nowadays. I guess everyone got tired of pretending they hated it. Only thing I would absolutely change is the dogs fight, that was retarded

yeah it's certified kino, cinema, a masterpiece. if you have to show one film to a kid, show them Ang lee's Hulk, if you have to show someone one comic book movie, show them Ang lee's Hulk.

you cannot refute that it was way ahead of it's time, the cinematography was also very good and whoever was in charge of composition did real good job because even though it's a movie from 2003 the CGI is amazing and they nailed the lighting, making it look realistic.

What the fuck you on about, boy?

The comic-book panel style editing was fuckin' stupid... showed the director didn't really care about the source material, and assumed people wanted a live-action comic-book, instead of cinema.

Uncanny Valley.... yeah, Ang Lee's Hulk was fake AF....

It was before they started farming out CGI to jeets, they had to build the systems in-house and tailor them specifically for the film.

Youre just wrong. The CGI looks fine even now, it has weight to it. The editing is silly, but nigga this is a comic movie its not a serious subject.
The only valid point was that the villain was way underdeveloped. Dont get me wrong, I really loved the "TAKE IT AAAAALLL" but as a character, the whole "going beyond humanity" angle felt kinda thin and he only did something in the last 20 minutes or so.
Its like if the T-1000 only showed up for one short fight at foundry in T2.
