in the script, the prometheus says that "earth was the only one that was successful", why then would they destroy it? also was he not aware of the seeded planet that david killed off in covenant?
what if in the original version prometheus was friendly and didn't intend on destroying humanity, hence the whole dialogue in the script?

maybe the engineers looked exactly like humans in the past
