Yeah, I don't think it has a single bad season.

First season is very episodic with stupid villains of the week but then it gets kino. Raylan is almost gauranteed to shoot one person in the face per episode. Also Rachel best girl.

Season 1 is half-good, the episodic stuff is meh but the Crowder storyline is great. Then it peaks with season 2. The rest of the seasons blur together for me, but I remember Boyd's story being pretty messy at times, like the writers really didn't know what to do with him, and Raylan eventually became a little Mary Sue for my tastes, again like the writers didn't what to do with him specifically so they just always him dealing with someone elses problems and the villains were always killing each other until Raylan got around to killing them.

I've watched the whole series several times and I still can't remember who all the antagonists were after season 2. I remember the Crows, Bubba from Forest Gump, and the creepy business man with blue eyes, but that's not enough to cover all the seasons. Still absolutely love the show though.

Season 4 is probably what throws people off of the sequence. All the seaons have a nice central antagonist except for 4 which had a combination of Boyd, his new hired goon, Duffy, and the Detroit mob guy. None of which were very central over the fugitive they were all tracking down.

Yeah it's fantastic. One of my favourite TV shows. Just get through the early "villain of the week" episodes until the plot arcs kick in. And avoid the shitty reboot.

Reboot/sequel. They shoehorn Raylan into another story in Detroit (which the character isn't even in). It's pretty bad. Only watch if you're desperate for an update on Raylan after the events of Justified.
