>>213513361I used to like him because he seemed oddly human and real for the way people portrayed him. I'd watch basically any episode he'd put out from 2019 to 2023, maybe, and walk away entertained and possibly learning about something or someone new.
Now, I'm not interested in most of the guests and I get distracted thinking about and trying to figure out what level of the game he's even playing on. You don't get to be the biggest player in town and not have spooks and people like that with their fingers in your pie. The hardest part for me to unravel is the few people somewhat close to him that break from his (at least vocalized) opinion or hesitance to broach certain topics, but that don't call it out specifically, either on their shows or his. Or, at least they'll kind of try to if they're on his show, but don't push as much as I'd like to see. I guess it would be pretty hard to do that with a friend if you're having an actual organic conversation balanced with knowing it's also public.
