finna watch this, what am I in for?
They all die, humanity is doomed by the end of the movie. Ryan Reynolds death traumatised me
>>213518144you are thinking of something else, the movie with the black goo. Reynolds isnt in this
looks like they went out of their way to check all the boxes. no wheelchair person so i shant be watching
>>213518188tbf all of these are great actors with impressive resumes. It isnt hamfisted diversity
>>213518328I watched a jewtube review channel I like because of other reviews and was just playing a playlist and it reviewed this and it sounded really good and interesting so I am wondering why it only got 5.5 on imfb
It's like three different bad movies cut into one monolith of shit
about 10 mins in and I already see something retarded. So the Chinese girl is only going to speak Chinese the whole time?
So they selected someone who cant speak the same language as everyone else on the mission and the people on the mission decided to learn Chinese just for her instead of picking someone else, or the very least making her learn English like everyone else? Pretty retarded desu
>>213518460she's probably the fuck toy and only needs to know the words fucky and sucky
>>213518159Calvin is not black, it is transparent/iridescent
>>213518121 (OP)Is this the one where half the plot is on the space station on the other side of Solar system and the other half is on Earth and the two basically don't intersect in any way?
A pile of shit. It was a black list script, i think called The God Particle, about astronauts who get teleported to the opposite side of Earth's orbit but think they destroyed Earth (Earth is hidden by the sun until the end after they all go crazy). JJ Abram's company bought the script and rewrote it to be a Cloverfield tie in. Same with The Bunker/10 Cloverfield Lane
>>213518121 (OP)An incredibly interesting case study in leveraging marketing & a pre-existing IP to dump radioactive trash your studio accidentally produced onto the masses.
>>213519564No the whole thing is on a space station
>>213518121 (OP)absolute slop. They spent all their marketing budget on some superbowl ads and dumped the piece of shit on platform the second the superbowl ended to juice their analytics. I remember nothing about the plot other than the girl stuck in the wall. Just that I felt like I wasted my time watching it, which is not something I feel often after finishing films.
>>213519685The wikipedia synopsis talks about a monster attack on earth and a bunker and I don't remember any of that shit when I watched it on Netflix
>>213519574>10 Cloverfield Lane takes place in a bunkerI haven't seen The Bunker yet, will it take place in a pleasant duplex?
Also what gets a script blacklisted?
>>213519726If memory serves one of the characters views a handful of videos sent by his family on Earth. I think those & the Cloverfield monster attacking are the parts they added in post.
>>213519769>It is important that we reiterate what this list can only ever be: A list of novels mentioned at least twice when the 84 editors and agents who responded to our request were asked to list ten published since 2005 whose acquisition or sale they were not involved in that they'd most like to see adapted into film and television.Basically just popular scripts that get talked about between agents. 95% of the time it's just an easy to read script of a simple movie with a simple gimmick.
>Of the more than 1,000 screenplays The Black List has included since 2005, at least 450 have been produced as theatrical films,[6][7] including Argo,[8] American Hustle, Juno,[1] The King's Speech, Slumdog Millionaire,[9] Spotlight,[10] The Revenant, The Descendants, Promising Young Woman and Hell or High Water.
>>21351976910 Cloverfield Lane (The Bunker) is actually pretty good & worth watching. I assume the blacklisted script refers to JJ Abrams buying the slop script that nobody else would touch because they had sense and ultimately working the thing into the Cloverfield Paradox.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
>>213519856Oh it's the same movie just two names?
I've seen it then
>>213519885I think The Bunker was the script name.
>>213518121 (OP)>>213519685Is this even Cloverfield anymore?
>>213518121 (OP)1st movie- alien dinosaurs found footage
2nd movie- bunker apocalypse kino
(at this point, I decided not to watch the 3rd)
3rd movie- NETFLIX (puke) woke spaceship with black people
I really liked the scene where the dude started phasing through the wall/reality.
Should have been horrifying.
But they turned it into a joke.
>>21351957410 clov was absolute kino though
10 Cloverfield Paradox Lane: Clovie Strikes Again
>>213518121 (OP)event horizon but infinitely worse
It would have been funnier if John Goodman had turned out to just be an awkward fuddy duddy sad about his divorce, and a conspiracy theorist who ends up being right about the aliens, but not a psychopath pedo rapist murderer acid dissolver guy
Just the real twist being the other two convince him to go outside with them and then he's right and there are aliens and him and arm guy get ayyed by them
Also the radio reference to L4D at the end was weird, it's aliens not zombies
Is that Roy from the IT crowd?
>>213518228Ha, yeah like the guy from fucking Dream Team! This pile of shit is perfect example of Netflix DEI
