I am cautiously optimistic. Noah Hawley usually writes good characters and decent plots, but he also has a habit of finishing those plots in completely unsatisfying and retarded ways. The most egregious example of this I can think of is season 4 of Fargo. they had been building up the mob war and the irish vs italian hitman confrontation for the entire season and he literally ended it by having two characters get sucked up by a tornado and another slip on some ice and shoot himself in the head.
