No they are generally not that bad.

celebslop heavy in 9-12. A lot of simply bad episodes like Simpsons Tide (no jokes). The characters become more bitter and sardonic as the writing becomes even more meta and pop culture dependent. I think I've seen season 12 once and that's as far as I've gone. There are a few very good episodes in season 9 as well as bad ones. 10 is mostly shit save maybe one ep. Season 8 really lacks rewatch value though they hit really well at the time. Also the writers suddenly decide to be heavily pro-Lisa which in their minds meant they had to dumb down Bart and make him a worse person.

Each season has a few good episodes, literally very season. 1-30whatever. I saw some more recent ones on an airplane. They were good.

This exact episode was when I realized The Simpsons stopped being funny. "Tomacco" was so fucking stupid and "lol so random!" I think I stopped watching after it aired.

I feel like Simpson Tide is underhated
I remember not liking that 'Round Springfield had Lisa singing, but the episode was funny otherwise. that was the closest I ever came to not liking a Simpsons episode up to that point
then Simpson Tide airs, and it felt like watching my dad get arrested for molesting my brother.
