Those were never canon to anything except each other. They literally can't fit into anything else. Android and computer technology didn't get infinitely worse in the future. The xenomorph wasn't designed by a human android and made to be infinitely worse than its previous incarnation which could take over everyone with invisible spores in seconds. Covenant is not a kino alien movie. Covenant is a kino movie of its own. You have to strip away half the movie to find the kino, which sucks. It definitely could have been way better. Same with Prometheus. They had a lot of potential which got squandered.

As an individual movie, I find Covenant way better than Prometheus. Better more consistent writing. Still wouldnt call it kino. Prometheus on the other hand has retared writing but very cool concepts that could've benifited from better execution .
