>>213574839Also, I don't even know how to fucking begin breaching the concept of generative AI content to my boomer parents (mother is more or less the same way, even if with some differences). They are so extremely behind on everything tech that they genuinely need like a whole year's studying course, university-style, to get them up to speed to the current state of things and to make them modern-day surface-level normies to begin with. But good luck convincing 60+ year old people that they need to shut the fuck up and learn from someone.
Perhaps the worst part is that they naturally heard some random bits and pieces about stuff, from their similar coworkers and other shitty sources like this, and then they misapply what they heard in a way that's hilarious but also sad and concerning.
Last time I was visiting, I was showing to my mother - on my phone - a funny video of a cat sneezing many times in a row. Dad walks by and says, smugly: "You are so gullible, don't you know that someone probably looped that video and that's why the cat sneezes several times? I heard that there can be edited fake videos like this!" ... Oookay, that's valuable advice coming from someone who sees the laziest AI shit everywhere by now every day, including on TV, and has no clue and doesn't believe me about it because he has never heard of it being a thing.
