>>213571840>that's a black powder single shot, you felon. in the film, other than the one shotgun, most of the guns they use are semi auto handguns or machine guns. those need smokeless powder and modern rounds or the guns would rust up and cease working. That's untrue actually, there are a numner of black powder designs such as the gatling gun and any smokeless cartridge can be loaded to capacity and fired with blackpowder. True the gun may cease up with fouling but the point stands meanwhile , revolvers, side by side shotguns and bolt action rifles all continue to function. Neither did rust destoy that Gub which is over 220 years old and will work just fine. YOU don;t know much about guns and are out of your depth, loads of brass cartridge guns loaded with black powder existed before smokeless powder arrived in 1886, neither is formulating smokeless powder from celulose and nitric acid an impossible task to a reasonably dedicated and large organisation with all the required informaton at their fingertips. Neither is casting bullets or making primers, all that has been discovered can be made again, that includes using lathes to create brass cartridges.
Some fantasictical neo apocalypse happeed now, people would have guns in 200 years anon, they are not that hard to make or munitions. Once something is invented its very hard to uninvent. I prefer to collect old ones it's one of my interests and I can hit a 12 inch plate at 1000M.
All that to one side, films like waterworld or any post apocalyse film, zombie film, supernatural film, fantasy film, sci fi film etc etc demands a suspension of disbelief but on the point
could a group of several hundred manufacture munitions, mainntain guns, refinnes fuels, smelt metals, etc. yeah sure given the range of resources. Its not actually some arcane lore unless you are some completey talenless branlet.
I did not thik waterworld was a great move when it came out though. Dances with wolves are brilliant though.
