I have a 4 bay synology, was setup RAID5 with 4x 6TBs and I had a failure that I did not deal with for FAR too long.
Do not ignore a warning please. Have a drive spare and deal with it immediately. If a second drive goes bad, you really are truly fucked and that's what happened to me.
I'm back on my feet now but it was very upsetting and I take full responsibility.

How do I use one of these without having to set up another display? How do I get the 10TB of media I have on my desktop onto the drives I put in this without doing a tedious HDD swap? How will Plex know to look for a network drive? If Plex has to stream my media off my own NAS, isn't that still using internet and thus no different from streaming, with all the buffering and lag that come with it?

RAID 0 is pointless.
For a home media server, RAID is pointless, this is coming from someone with a RAID 10.
The whole purpose of a RAID is to provide 0 downtime, which is to say if a drive fails then you can still use the media server as normal while you prepare a replacement drive, which is a function that isn't really necessary if you're not a broadcast station.

If the purpose is just to have backups, then just do JBOD.
Someone people like to do RAID because it lets you merge storage space to appear as one large pool across multiple drives, but I think this function can be simulated with other software. Also RAID can let you compound read and write speeds, though realistically your speed will be limited by multiple factors from your ethernet cable version, your router/switch, your host bus adapter speeds, your PCI adapter/mobo's SATA generation, the SATA cables, etc etc.

You are using a desktop computer interface from a distance with a keyboard, when you could get an interface that is meant to be navigated with a TV remote, and remembers your place in things you've watched like netflix.

all model year '25 devices require that you use drives from the synology compatibility list. the synology compatibility list currently only includes synology branded drives. if you get one of their machines released prior to 2025 you can use third party drives but the machine will give you a warning when you attempt to initialize, you can ignore the warning with no penalty.

apparently you can fix the 2025 models by running some guys script on them which will add your third party drives to the device's compatibility list and you can go about your business. i wouldn't trust synology though, they might just be jewish enough to remotely brick your array in a future update if they catch you running third party drives in their machines, the way they've been going has been trending towards this.

You arent kidding, all the 4k remasters and shit where the director goes and shits all over his own film is horrendous. Thankfully either old versions or fan regrades that are good exist for a lot. Bless the Matrix 4k regrade back to the greenish hue from the DVD release
