Tarantinocore was the peak weekend rental genre and I'm tired of pretending it wasn't
I know he himself was tremendously derivative but there's no disputing that movie set off a wave of filmmakers to make a very specific sort of meandering, vaguely musical ensemble films about violent eccentrics

Thursday is the only Tarantino rip-off I like because it's so on the nose and so over the top that it works, it's just completely unpretentious low budget crimeslop

There only was a few years of Trantinoripoffcore, it even was a fairly minor genre then. The worst thing I can say about the consequences of Pulp Fiction is that it enabled QT's childish slop post-Jackie Brown. Can't really think of anything significant beyond that.

They made a bunch of movies like that in the 70s. The only problem was they were even lower budget and not very good

Anyone know the movie where some college friends reunite in their hangout and for some convoluted reason they have to rob a bank to help someone? There is a container of gumball breaking near the climax that is essential to the plot. I don't want spoil it. It would air on comedy central central.

I don't think Go was even really out of order was it? Just different character perspectives of an overlapping time period.
Good movie with great music anyway.
