It just gets worse I feel, the one redeeming quality it had was that it was a return to the "adventure of the week" formula, which could be fun. But then it returned to season long plot arcs and five episode long plots (fucking Gorn).

Spock being desperately horny for Chapel and being emotional is getting very tiresome. So is Uhura and every other crew member being poorly written super geniuses with tragic backstories (Uhura was kind of a retard in TOS), so is the modern way of speaking, so is the characters being overly emotional (more Discovery-era "everyone's crying" type shit).
Fuck me, they even returned to galactic-scale threats and shit. Just stick to the fun adventures on "Strange New Worlds", it's the name of the show.

TOS: Defining emotional trait: a cool, post widowhood pining for a man who cannot show emotion or even mate save every seven years. Played with understated grace that a minor character depth and a major character another beat.

SNW: A girlboss is simped over by a creepy, whiny alien fag. Adds nothing to either character as of course a girl boss is going to have simps galore in 2025 and whiny bitch is going to have plenty of other ways to show his whiny bitchness.

Pike as presented in SNW is the only kind of straight white guy the fags in charge of Star Trek now will accept: a goofy, usually wrong, metrosexually groomed poof.

the original Star Trek series (TOS), Nurse Christine Chapel was portrayed as being in love with Spock. This is explicitly shown in episodes like "The Naked Time," where she confesses her feelings for him, both his human and Vulcan aspects. This attraction was a recurring element in her character arc throughout TOS, though Spock never reciprocated her feelings. In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, their relationship is explored more deeply, with their feelings for each other evolving and becoming a central part of the storyline.
