Man what a great film. I knew from the get go that there was going to a twist ending (the whole setup was reminiscent of The Usual Suspects with the flashbacks and shit) but it still surprised me. How come some forgotten movie from 2001 is better than 90% of the shit that is released today?

because better movies came out that year, and the next year, and the next, and better movies came out the year before.

and Memento, that was also one movie with flashbacks and a twist ending. The Usual Suspects ruined a whole generation of suspense stories

Great movie. Another underrated horror movie from around that time is Joy Ride. You should watch that next.
