they should do a movie where the viewer is a large supporting role in the movie and the other characters reference you and look at you throughout the movie and at the end of the movie your character dies or something

anon... in a lot of stories you're meant to simply imagine yourself being one of the characters which accomplishes the same thing.

... you do insert yourself into the story, right? you don't just passively watch what unfolds in front of you as if you were a member of some otherwordly audience... r-right?

The next big gimmick that will make loads for a few years and then subside, like 3D, will be audience voting on how events play out. Majority vote decides how key scenes play out, including the ending, and alternative decisions-consequences won't be revealed unless they win the vote in any individual showing. Good/bad endings will become a thing of the movies too. Big plot points will be completely different in different showings. In horror movies especially, the audience will be able to vote a specific character to NOT go check out whatever could have made that noise, and even to take rational decisions that would make the movie last 15 mintues, despite having payed for a full ticket. Spoilers will be penalized with prison time.
