How? The book is 100% prose. The actual events of Blood Meridian are almost inconsequential, everything about it that mattered was an exercise in language. It's not just a book that can't be filmed, it's also a book that would lose 90% of its meaning if translated. Everything important in Blood Meridian is hidden in its text because of the way McCarthy blurs the lines between the narration and the dialogue. There are whole parts of the book that are ambiguous as to whether they are dialogue and narration. How the fuck would you film that?

Blood Meridian is like that except moreso, because even the actual events are themselves delivered in the form of immense poetic descriptions.
