Why did we hate Gladiator II again? It was good dumb fun,

>The Colosseum naval battles
>The gay twin emperors were fun villains
>Denzel hamming it the fuck up

As long as you don't compare it to the original, I agree it's great.

For me? It was the wasted potential. A lot of good elements wasted on being a soft reboot instead of a true sequel.

Retarded nonsense film that should never have been made, again. Don't get me wrong, I've never seen it, thank the good Lord.

It was just jarring to have Denzel talking like he was in Training Day still. I was expecting him to call someone a nigga

I agree, it wasn't as good as the first one but it's very entertaining.

>Opening battle with the ships storming a city
>Weirdo twin emperors
>Denzel Washington was surprisingly good as a ruthless power-grabber
>Great gladiator fights
>Cheesy but cool inspiring speeches

There was also some great production design going on. I didn't even mind the CGI because it was used for stuff you couldn't have used it for in 2000 anyway, like the colosseum sea battle.
