Do you think they were able to come up with a decent storyline for the movie?

The show had long turned to shit by the time the movie came along.

The plot itself is perfectly fine but having the characters spend a half hour in Alaska goes pretty much nowhere and completely kills the pacing right before the climax.

The Simpsons predicted storyline.
Could been about anything but years later people will say it predicts our stupid fucking world

Argentina loves the show, so it isn't surprising that the movie was the biggest hit of that year

It was OK, but it would have been better had they made the movie in 1995 or 1996. I think round about that time there were Simpsons painted on airplanes because it was the peak of their success.

/thread. It’s actually insane that more time has passed since the release of the Simpsons movie in 2007 than the release of the pilot episode to the movie

I was working at Burger King around the time the movie was coming out and the promotion was everywhere. I stole so many BK stackers and vault sodas

No. The movie was the end. Haven't watched them since then with no ragerts.

It’s wild that in 2007 it was kind of agreed that the Simpsons was long over due to end. It’s been 18 years since then

>have 90 minutes to tell a bigger story than you could in an episode
>the movie is still paced as if its an episode
I can't believe I'm saying this, but there are too many jokes, it moves too fast and does not feel like it used the extra runtime to do anything they couldn't have done in an episode. It feels like a 90 minute long episode rather than a movie

That's because it was, anon. They do this with everything now and that's part of why everything new sucks.

Sure, its a decent storyline. Not great or anything, just like the movie itself
