Not everyone gets raped, it's a special brand of cruelty and unfairness, and people are uncomfortable watching it even if they know it's not real

There's plenty of rape in the horror and thriller genres. Whatever you would call the Straw Dogs and I Spit in your Grave type movies which basically are all about rape. Slasher characters tend to be either asexual or anti-Sex which has been interpreted as the movies themselves take a moral stand against libertinism, but I think it's more likely that it was meant to code the bad guy as a conservative reactionary. While the genre stsrtez in the late 70s, it gained its proper prominence in the Reagan 80s.

OP asked about slashers specifically for a reason, dude. The things you refer to mostly use rape as a character motivation story device. The idea of the thread is unprompted terrorizing via rape. At best you might see the threat of rape to drive actions (again, a story device).
