Gene Kelly is sometimes cited as an example of a true triple threat. Michael Jackson came very, very close to this status by the sheer overpowering strength of his singing and dancing alone, and the number of acting projects that he engaged in deserve some credit as an acting career. That said, his acting ability was obviously his most deficient trait. Although he could convey ranges of emotions reasonably well, he did this primarily through the singing and dancing themselves, and not in straight acting. As an actor, he largely played himself, or the idealized pop star version of himself (impossible to really separate the two, since he was trained on this from early childhood). Also, his sheer weirdness became a distraction over time, and his fame precluded any possibility of being something like a "character actor".
I imagine Michael Jackson's abilities as a triangular power distribution model, as shown. It's basically a lopsided isosceles triangle. The singing and dancing chops break the scale, each around 10.5/10, while the acting ability is anywhere from 1-4, depending on how charitable (or not) a reviewer may be feeling.
