the real question is if Luthor just wanted to kill Superman, why not have the Hammer of Boravia do it in the opening when he "defeated" Superman? I know you'' say "oh he wants permission from the government" but since Ultraman was still posing as Hammer, he could have just framed Boravia for it and been done with it.

Also if Engineer was that close to the fortress of soltitude why didn't Superman see / hear her nearby? Why did the Justice Gang decide off camera to suddenly help Superman for no reason? The movie is shit

The biggest plot hole is after Lex ordering 100 of his men to rape Superman there is no way he can fly around without dropping random dookies anymore but this is never addressed
