Sidelining the AI and turning it into Skynet-lite was the biggest possible mistake. Instead of Gabriel being just a carefully selected enforcer to get under Ethan's skin, he was forcefully made into being the main villain. The second movie just doesn't work with that shift.
Dead Reckoning: 8/10. Good movie.
Final Reckoning: 5.5/10. Mediocre movie.
