Were treehouses a real thing?
>>213674297 (OP)yes. my dad built one when i was a little kid. it was fun. smoked weed for the first time in my treehouse at 13yo
>>213674297 (OP)Just another american urban myth like hobo magic and a spotless pavement in a dem city.
>>213674297 (OP)Yes but it was rare. Only saw one in the yard of a cousin's neighbour when I was a small kid, I was too small or too scared to access it, I envisioned some grandiose mansion playhouse architecture up there at the time, but it probably would have been underwhelming if I'd ever went up there.
>>213674297 (OP)Did Homer build that? It seems too well built for him considering he couldn't build a BBQ.
>>213674297 (OP)yes, trees used to be real too. not the camouflage 5G towers we have now
No dad built a swing set/house/slide etc combo on the ground back in the 90s, they sell em premade now but he made it himself. I figure these are more common nowadays
>>213674297 (OP)I saw one once. Considering it was in a large front yard and right right next to a school I can't imagine how much shit probably went on in there.
>>213674632That tree grew fucking fast, must have been radiation
>>213674297 (OP)Yeah. My dad built me one when I was a kid. It had a trapdoor and plexiglass windows. I'd sit up there and read when I was by myself and we used it as a fort during paintball fights, but that didn't work great because whoever was up there was basically trapped.
>>213674509its a cartoon, you fucking retard, anything is possible
>>213674509Still one of the funniest scenes ever on the show.

My childhood friend had a treehouse with a working drawbridge.

>also found it funny/"fitting" somehow, as if he was flaunting it and deserved it just for having a treehouse or nice stuff
heavy moment realizing the people you're supposed to love the most are just degenerate pieces of shit who don't deserve it, probably ruined some kid's summer
>>213674297 (OP)Yes but they were more regional than you'd think since they require certain kinds of trees and older suburban/rural neighborhoods
My stepdad built me one even though I didn't ask for it. I think he saw it in a book and thought it'd be a fun project so that became my Christmas present.
But he got lazy and skipped every other plank on the outside and never put a roof on it so it kind of sucked in the purposes of a tree house and basically ended up just being a mossy place to stand if you felt like being high up.
