Why is there no Western equivilent of Wuxia? It seems like Wuxia is the most popular genre in Asia but we don't really have an equvilent genre in the west of just hot guys, hot girls, medieval era, magic for some reason, fighting and romance.
It's not like you couldn't do a similar thing with say, Arthurian legend, or even romantic fantasy fairy tale central europe that exists in Disney movies.
I feel like the closest we got was like, Xena and Hercules.
Why don't we have like, 20 new medieval fantasy magic romance shows every season like Asia does?
