“I liked new thing, show/movie/game, etc”
“Fuck you bitch, stop posting. You enjoying new thing, buying new thing, and then expressing online enjoyment of said thing is destroying the bar of quality for new things that I once liked”
How do you actually defend yourself if you like a New Thing (TM) Personally? Can you even? Is it possible?
>>213710503 (OP)I have no other choice. If I want to fit in with other people I have to be aware of current media or I won't have anything to talk about.
>>213710967maybe that's a sign that you need to find new other people
you just hate literally anything that is new, no matter what. you would hate your own favorite movie if it came out today.
>>213710503 (OP)you know you can just enjoy things privately and not have to talk to people about it, right?
>>213712066Pretty much. You can't talk about shit on here because people who didn't watch it already decided it sucks. Except for capeshit, you can talk about that all you want.

What if I enjoy belittling things others like?
>>213712404What will happen if someone doesn’t enjoy you belittling them for what they like?
>>213712094yeah, we should all sequester ourselves into our own heads and let the internet and society be filled with nothing but bots autistically shrieking at each other about manufactured outrage
>>213712512is that not what the internet already is?
Nobody actually enjoys anything anymore
Believe it or not, I *can* pass the Sally-Anne test on this shit
There used to be tons of stupid and gay things I personally disliked, but recognized had passionate fanbases full of people that loved them (pic related)
New media, all of it, it inspires nothing. Nobody likes it. Nobody remembers it. For the most part, nobody even watches it or pays for it. In fact the economics are the most baffling part; movie revenue has shrunk by 70% in the last five years and yet somehow budgets are even bigger. There is not a living breathing cunt on earth whose imagination is dominated by Star Wars: The Acolyte the way, say, some retard thirty years ago was with Babylon 5.
>>213712512i don't see how demanding validation from anonymous strangers for movies you like is going to prevent or remedy that in any way, shape or form.
>>213712625The massive fandoms moved to autistic corners on social media like tumblr, twitter. Instagram
>>213712625Anti-fandom is now bigger than regular fandom.
>>213710503 (OP)they are nazis if they are not enjoying the things that the mainstream media tells that should be enjoying
marketing is a hard job. stop making it harder for these guys. be kind OR ELSE
>>213713616Fitting for the anti prequels gang
>RedditLetterMedia reference
OP is just another of those losers who thinks hating everything is a personality trait. He gets no bitches. Into the trash it goes.
>>213712066None of my favorite movies would get made today (they're not awful).
>>213712404You should be totally allowed to enjoy that!
>>213712512>let the internet and society be filled with nothing but bots autistically shrieking at each other about manufactured outragesounds good to me as long as I don't have to participate
>>213710503 (OP)Engaging with it in any way fuels the fire. Let them die by themselves.
>>213710503 (OP)>don't ask questionsWhat am I supposed to ask?
>just consume productYes, that's what products are for.
>and then get excited for next productSo I'm just not allowed to look forward to things anymore?
This guy must be utterly miserable.
>>213710503 (OP)No one is consistent with "just let people enjoy things" regardless. Everyone's "that's retarded" list is extensive, they just get assblasted when someone disagrees with their objectively correct taste.
>>213710503 (OP)Wait, that meme came from RLM? It all makes sense now. No wonder you treat it like some holy prayer. Actually watching that channel and having the audacity to criticize others for "consuming products" is insane.
>>213710503 (OP)Since I'm not some 17 year old edgelord who has to maintain a cool image on the internet, I can defend it just fine. I like what I like and if you have a problem with that, then fuck you. Simple as.
>>213712066Wrong, I just watched a new thing last night and it was so good I pooped myself a little bit in excitement.
>>213710503 (OP)Toxic positivity is cancer, if you are only allowed to say good things about stuff than nothing will ever change because no one will know their creations are flawed.
>>213716629OLD GOOD NEW BAD mentality isn't any better.
>>213715721>What am I supposed to ask?Why are products getting worse over time?
>>213712625>There is not a living breathing cunt on earth whose imagination is dominated by Star Wars: The Acolyte the way, say, some retard thirty years ago was with Babylon 5You sir win all the internets today.
>>213716907No one said it was mr strawman.
>>213710503 (OP)Of course I can.
People new to an interest, i.e. children are afforded leeway.
Harry Potter is trash, but parents only cared that their kids got into reading books.
Being open to reading books is a good trade for reading silly bullshit.
>>213710503 (OP)No. Your consumerism has a direct effect on the things I enjoy. I also don't want the world to get dumber by the day
Our culture is so much worse than it was in the 90s and even back then it was zogged
