If you cut the superman backstory scenes and ma and pa kent, turned it into a justice league tv show I'd be like this is fine... but trying to sell me on Superman bleeding in the trailer for a Superman movie, straight posing off of Invincibles' storyline,... nah missed the mark son.

A major plot point was Luthor trying kill kill Superman by drowning him in nanites
