It's really good, a vhs classic for me as a kid. I almost let everyone gaslight me into believing it sucks and my fondness is nostalgia, but watching it now it's even better

I hate this film. I hate Michael Bay. But I still balled my eyes out like a fag

This film has something. Call it cynical, call it manipulative, maybe it is. But god damn it works

The cosmonaut part is cringe.

Its like it decided to maxx out 'responsibility' and' heroism' and create the most ridiculous scenario to serve that. I love it. I watched it in theatre and its the only time I have ever seen my dad cry.

It's like an industrial strength chick flick for dudes. And even chicks buckle under the pressure.

It's not even a particularly well made movie, but holy jesus it literally forces tears out of human beings somehow.

Don't love the movie. But the static in the ear piece part always gives me goosebumps

It's a soulless piece of shit. Only good bits are the crew bantering.
>soundtrack
A cheesy corporate ballad by a band that was never great, but was at least honest in the 70's before selling their dignity for a #1 hit

I think its the opposite. It simply wanted to show heroism at it maximum. One man who saves the world.

More like a father making the ultimate sacrifice. Michael Bay was adopted so he probably has some parental issues.
