The problem is people expected a comedy but it’s not. Even though it stars Eddie Murphy, a comedian. And costars John Witherspoon, a comedian. He wanted to do something serious and picked the wrong movie for it.

What would be the right movie then? I see this as in the same vein as 'The Golden Child' a serious movie with comedic undertones, I think he pulled it off. It's very enjoyable.
